Swedish injection moulding company Nolato (Torekov; www.nolato.se) launched the new expansion of its medical device manufacturing factory in Hörby / Sweden in mid-August. It is expected to be completed in early 2019, adding 3,700 m² to the existing 7,000 m².
Torkel Skoglösa, CEO of Nolato MediTech, says business has developed "very strongly" and the additional space is to serve new production areas and give the company opportunities for further expansion. The expanded factory will create around 50 new jobs over the next five years. Nolato MediTech manufactures medical devices for pharmaceutical companies and currently employs 240 people in Sweden. Of these, 170 are in Hörby and the rest at a smaller site in Lomma, near Malmö.
