Distribution portfolio for EMEA region expanded / Sale of MBA Polymers recyclate, Teknor Apex TPE

US-headquartered recycler MBA Polymers (Hackensack, New Jersey; www.mbapolymers.com) and compatriot distributor Nexeo Plastics (The Woodlands, Texas; www.nexeoplastics.com) have signed an agreement for the sale of the former’s mechanically recycled plastics in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

Nexeo’s recyclate distribution portfolio now features MBA Polymers’ post-consumer polypropylene, polystyrene, and ABS for automotive and household appliance applications.

The US-based recycler operates five plants with a combined capacity of over 150,000 t/y. Its customers include Borealis, Trinseo, and DuPont.
More materials from US compounder on offer
In separate news, Nexeo Plastics and US compounding specialist Teknor Apex (Pawtucket, Rhode Island; www.teknorapex.com) said they are expanding their existing distribution deal in the EMEA region. The previous agreement was for the latter’s Monprene and Sarlink thermoplastic elastomers.

The US distributor’s portfolio now covers engineered materials from Teknor Apex based on polyamide, polypropylene, polyesters, thermoplastic polyurethane, as well as speciality polycarbonate, PA, PP, ABS, and PBT blends. The materials are suitable for mobility, industrial, and E&E applications, according to the company.
Teknor Apex has a total of 14 compounding plants – 10 in the US, and one each in Belgium, China, Germany, and Singapore.
