US plastics distributor Nexeo Plastics (The Woodlands, Texas; www.nexeoplastics.com) has agreed to supply products from Chinese resin maker Wanhua Chemical (Yantai, Shandong; https://en.whchem.com) in a number of European countries.
Under the terms of a partnership, Nexeo said it will distribute Wanhua’s “Wanthane” brand TPU polyester, polyether, polycaprolactone, polycarbonate and aliphatic TPU in the Benelux countries, the UK, and Ireland, with only extrusion grades available in Spain.
“By collaborating with Wanhua, we are expanding our portfolio of high value TPEs and complementing the solutions that we offer to key industries, such as packaging, automotive, electronic, and electrical,” said Joost d’Hooghe, Nexeo Plastics vice-president of Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Frank Zhang, Wanhua’s head of overseas sales, said the partnership is an important part of its strategy to grow the business in Europe and America as quickly as possible. Wanhua added that its plant in Hungary, run by local subsidiary BorsodChem (Kazincbarcika; www.borsodchem.com), will enable the companies to respond quickly to customer requests.
