The world is appalled by Russia’s attack on Ukraine and its devastating humanitarian and political consequences. Companies in the German plastics industry are also dismayed by the war in Europe. In light of the same, Plasteurope.com’s parent company, KI Group (Bad Homburg, Germany; www.ki.de) and German plastics converters association GKV (Berlin; www.gkv.de) have launched a fundraising campaign called Kunststoff Hilft (Plastics Help). The initiative Aktion Deutschland Hilft is an alliance of German aid organisations.
All companies in the German-speaking plastics industry – from producers to processors and machine builders to users – are being called upon to participate in the campaign, GKV and KI Group said.

The fundraising campaign aims to convey the message of solidarity and responsibility. The objective is to motivate as many companies as possible to make donations for those suffering in Ukraine. The initiators hope to reach a total donation of EUR 1 mn.
