Heikki Malinen to take over as CEO

Finnish refining company Neste (Espoo; www.neste.com) has announced plans to appoint Heikki Malinen as its new president and CEO on 15 October. The current CEO Matti Lehmus is set to remain in office until then and to continue supporting the company as an advisor until mid-November. The company did not give any reasons for the change at the top.

Malinen has worked at Finnish steel giant Outokumpu since 2012; he took over as CEO and president in 2020. Neste is not new territory for the economist, who has already been a member of the supervisory board for a year.
