Plastics packaging manufacturer Nampak Plastics (Newport Pagnell / UK; www.nampak.com) has received a "high recommendation" from the judges at the Business Commitment to the Environment (BCE) environmental leadership awards (www.bceawards.org), held in London at the beginning of June 2010. The award honours Nampak's introduction of the world's first recycled-content plastic milk bottle – see Plasteurope.com of 12.06.2008 – with BCE president Anthony Cleaver commending the award winners for "putting environmental issues at the top of the business agenda".
At the beginning of this year, Nampak announced that all the milk bottles manufactured in 2010 will have 10% recycled content – see Plasteurope.com of 21.01.2010.
