PVC-O technology and pipe manufacturer Molecor (Madrid / Spain; www.molecor.com) and partner company Sizabantu Piping Systems (Gauteng / South Africa; www.sizabantupiping.co.za) are to form a joint venture to begin production of Molecor “Tom” PVC-O pipes at a factory to be built in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal / South Africa.
The two companies have been cooperating over a number of years in the supply of hundreds of kilometres of PVC-O pipes in South Africa. The jv will allow the African company to enter into the bulk water, high pressure and large diameter pipe market, manufacturing PVC-O pipes using Molecor technology, an automated continuous process.
