Aerospace materials collaboration with Cytec
Cytec Engineered Materials (CEM, Tempe, Arizona / USA; www.cytec.com) has entered into a strategic collaboration with Mitsubishi Rayon (MRC, Tokyo / Japan; www.mrc.co.jp) to develop their carbon fibre reinforced composite materials technology. Through the collaboration, CEM and MRC will combine and share their technologies and engineering expertise in selected high-performance carbon composites applications in the structural materials aerospace market. They intend to supply the aerospace industry with technologically advanced composite materials as part of the drive to develop aircraft with lower weight and improved fuel efficiency.
