MITRAS KUNSTSTOFFE
Thermoplastic sheets: Purchase of two extrusion companies in Scandinavia
Effective from 1 January, Mitras Kunststoffe GmbH (PO Box, D-92633 Weiden) has taken over two extrusion companies from the Finish Asko Oy. The companies, Rimito Plast Oy (FIN-21290 Rusko) and Formatherm AB (S-57080 Virserum), produce extruded sheets made of PS, ABS, PE, PP and PMMA and supplement the range of the Mitras division "Thermodet".
With this acquisition, Mitras consistently follows its strategy of being active in remote markets by entering into local production and sales. In the European market for extruded sheets and films for the deep drawing area, through this take-over, Mitras now ranks third. Last but not least, the company hopes that an active exchange of know-how in the research, production and marketing areas will result. In the medium term, Mitras expects a positive impact on its composite system, electrical/mechanical engineering, vehicle and rail sectors through the newly created connections in both countries.
