MILACRON
Consolidation of DME mould tooling operations in the USA
Injection moulding machine manufacturer Milacron (Cincinnati, Ohio / USA; www.milacron.com) announced that its wholly owned subsidiary DME (Madison Heights, Michigan / USA; www.dme.net) will expand its production facility in Greenville, Michigan.
This expansion announcement follows the recent decision to close a DME facility in Youngwood, Pennsylvania, affecting 63 positions. Milacron will consolidate its mould technology manufacturing operations into a single US location and plans to invest about USD 5m (EUR 4.5m), creating up to 70 full-time jobs in Michigan.
DME, represented in Europe by DME Europe (Mechelen / Belgium), produces hot runner systems as well as plates, cooling systems and various other components for mould tooling.
