Machinery producer Milacron (Cincinnati, Ohio / USA; www.milacron.com) is planning to carry out another expansion at its facility in Policka / Czech Republic. The plant manufacturing "Uniloy" blow moulding machines was first commissioned in early 2015 and its operations are "progressing as planned," said Ron Krisanda, COO of the group's Advanced Plastic Processing Technologies unit. The company plans to become the leading European supplier of blow moulding machines (see Plasteurope.com of 17.02.2015).
In future, the 11,000 m² plant’s 90 employees – double the workforce from when the facility first began operations – will also manufacture injection moulding machines of the "Magna Toggle Servo" and "Elektron EVO" ranges. For this purpose, Milacron is planning to add another 4,000 m² to the facility.
Uniloy Milacron (Magenta / Italy; www.uniloy.com) produces blow moulding machines at plants in Policka and Afton, Ohio / USA. The group also operates three technology centres, located in Berlin / Germany, Magenta / Italy and Afton, and produces moulds in Tecumseh, Michigan / USA. Last year the company decided to move what production remained at its site in Italy to Policka as part of a "significant" expansion plan (see Plasteurope.com of 17.04.2015).
