AlphaGary is renamed five years after acqusition
Speciality plastic compounds producer AlphaGary has changed its name to Mexichem Specialty Compounds. AlphaGary has been a subsidiary of Mexican PVC producer Mexichem (Tlalnepantla; www.mexichem.com) since 2011, when it was acquired from Rockwood Holdings (Princeton, New Jersey / USA; www.rocksp.com) for USD 300m (see Plasteurope.com of 21.12.2010).
AlphaGary has been established for over 30 years and has three production facilities – two in the US and one in the UK. It supplies its fire retardant PVC and low-smoke halogen-free thermoplastic elastomer and olefin compounds to a variety of markets including wire and cable, data and telecom, medical devices, industrial and construction, automotive parts and consumer goods.
