MASKIN AB RAPID
Soundproof granulator complements standard machinery range
Leading Swedish plastics granulating machinery manufacturer Maskin AB Rapid (Industrivägon 4, Box 9, S-33010 Bredaryd) says its soundproof granulator "Rapid 6090-K", largest of its type worldwide, is enjoying considerable market success. With a cutter house opening of 900 mm x 600 mm and a throughput of up to 2500 kg/h, the Rapid 6090-K is able to granulate a wide variety of large-volume plastics wastes, including bulky parts such as petrol tanks, pipes, profiles, bottles, films and purgings.

The 2725 mm high machine with a footprint of 2520 mm x 2400 mm is designed for flexible placement, says the manufacturer. As the soundproofing is integrated, the footprint is smaller, making it suitable for location beside the press. An additional advantage is that it can be fed at chest height (1750 mm), facilitating manual feeding. The modular construction allows the granulator to be tailored to customers' operating requirements.
