Pharmaceutical packaging production specialist Marchesini (Pianoro / Italy; www.marchesini.com) has invested EUR 14m in a 14,000 m² thermoforming machinery production facility in Carpi / Italy. The plant will initially employ 50 workers, with plans to add another 200 at a later stage.
Marchesini CEO Maurizio Marchesini said: “The factory in Carpi has been built, and will continue to grow, as a modern smart factory. It will produce at industrial rates but with the quality of fine tailored products. The technologies exploited will ensure energy from renewable sources and will minimise harmful emissions.”
