Water filter capacities doubled in Singapore / Expanding R&D services
Mann+Hummel (Ludwigsburg / Germany; www.mann-hummel.com) has doubled production capacity at its water filtration headquarters in Singapore, while simultaneously expanding the site’s R&D facilities to include in-house analysis. The expansion was officially inaugurated at the end of June. The German company said the expansion was driven by rising demand for filtration products from the automotive and industrial sectors, adding that additional expansions at the site were possible. By the end of 2012, Mann+Hummel plans to raise the site’s workforce from 100 to 130.

The German group estimates that the global filtration market currently stands at about EUR 40 bn, of which it expects to hold a EUR 3.4 bn share by 2018. Mann+Hummel’s 14,300 employees generated revenues of about EUR 2.5 bn last year.
