MANDUCHER
Recovery assured through automotive components / Back in the black
Automotive component manufacturer Manducher SA (HQ: PO Box 2009, F-01102 Oyonnax), a member of the Eurotec Group, achieved a FF 1.336bn (approx DM 390m) turnover in business year 1993/94 (to Sept 30). This is a 1% increase over the previous year, restated on the same business basis, and a 5% decline in absolute terms, considering the divestment of the extrusion business area at the beginning of October 1993. Following losses of FF 25m and FF 47m in the two previous years, 1993/94 saw a return to profitable trading, although exact figures are not yet available.
Manducher is continuing with the company restructuring program. The success achieved to date has resulted from extensive reorganisation with concentration on the core businesses of automotive interior and exterior components. The manufacture of technical parts for housewares and other industrial products is also an important field of concentration for Manducher. At the moment the Eurotec subsidiary is supplying plastic parts and systems for every single one of the new models brought out by the French motor manufacturers. In 1995 the company is planning a much closer cooperation with General Motors.
