Canadian extrusion machinery producer opens first European office

Canadian film and sheet extrusion specialist Macro Engineering & Technology (Mississauga, Ontario; www.macroeng.com) plans to tap the markets in Europe and the Middle East through its new office in Italy. In the wake of numerous failed negotiations to acquire an Italian machinery manufacturer, the group decided to found Macro Engineering & Technology srl, headquartered in Milan. Managing Director Franco Capetti – who previously served as technical director at competitor Tecno Coating Engineering srl (Momo / Italy; www.tce-extrusion.com) – has been tasked with developing the market.
