Seaquist Closures takes a stake
Löffler Kunststoffwerk GmbH (PO Box 1306, D-94075 Freyung) and Seaquist Closures (711 Fox St, Mukwonage, Wisconsin 53149, USA) have announced their statement of intent, in which Seaquist is to take a minority stake in Löffler. It is projected that the formalities will be completed by the beginning of the 3rd quarter of 1995. Löffler is a family-owned company which claims to be a leading manufacturer of fluid pouring systems and standard plastic closures. Manufacturing facilities are situated in Germany and in the Czech Republic (Löffler Kunststoffwerk SRO, CZ-38481 Ckyne 278). The company achieved an annual turnover of DM 80m with a workforce of about 500. Seaquist, with 350 workers, and a $ 80m turnover, has a large product range of pouring closures, so that the cooperation will strengthen their position in both the European and international markets.
