LyondellBasell (LBI, Houston, Texas / USA; www.lyondellbasell.com) has introduced a new PP random copolymer "Purell RP320M". This new resin, for cast film extrusion and injection moulding technologies, can be used in caps and closures, labware and flexible and rigid packaging of medical devices and pharmaceuticals.
According to the company, Purell RP320M has low gels content, making it useful for end applications that require optical properties such as gloss, transparency, surface smoothness, planarity as well as resistance to tearing. It does not contain slip or anti-blocking additives and is produced using a non-phthalate-based catalytic system.
