The world´s largest manufacturer of rotor blades for wind power plants, LM Glasfiber (Lunderskov / Denmark; www.lmglasfiber.com), increased its sales to the equivalent of EUR 331m in 2005 (EUR 302m in 2004), but both EBITDA and EBIT were down significantly at EUR 56m and EUR 21m respectively. The bottom line was a loss of EUR 2m, compared with a profit of EUR 9m in 2004. This is attributed to rising raw material costs. Thanks to new large-volume orders, the company is currently expanding its worldwide operations with new production facilities in China, India and Canada.
