South Korean polycarbonate now available in Europe
Polycarbonate made in Korea by LG Chem (Seoul / South Korea; www.lgchem.com) is now available in Europe in limited quantities. Polyma Kunststoff (Oststeinbek; www.polyma-kunststoff.de) distributes the material in Germany. Material from the former 50:50 joint venture of LG and Dow Chemical branded as "Lupoy" and "Calibre" was previously only for sale in Asia. Since the Korean company’s takeover of the Dow stake – see Plasteurope.com of 07.10.2010 – the nomenclature for LG’s Lupoy has been adapted to conform with that of Calibre, Polyma told Plasteurope.com.
