Austrian specialist film manufacturer Lustro-Lenzing GmbH & Co KG (Leidern 31, A-4850 Timelkam) has invested £ 300.000 in advanced manufacturing equipment, including installation of the first gas dryers in Europe. Supplied by Conair, the four dryers form part of the complex blending and conveying system at the Lustro-Lenzing plant for drying PET and PETG and will help reduce production costs and expand the product range. They are suitable for capacities of 200 kg/hr and higher and will offer energy savings of up to 80% compared with equivalent electrical equipment, paying for themselves in about two years. New products planned by the company include PET films for credit cards and heavy gauge sheet.
