German distribution company Lehmann & Voss (Hamburg; www.lehvoss.de) is to extend the sale of the Alfrimal brand of flame retardants to Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Alfrimal is a flame retardant produced by compatriot company Alpha Calcit (Cologne; www.alpha-calcit.net), based on aluminium hydroxide (ATH), said Lehmnann & Voss.
The halogen-free, flame-retardant fillers are suitable for cable, rubber, and thermoplastic applications, and are said to have a smoke-suppressing effect without impairing the processing of the materials with regard to colour, surface characteristics, or tactile properties.
