German compounder and distributor launches North American subsidiary
German compounder and distributor Lehmann & Voss (LuV, Hamburg; www.lehvoss.de/eng) has opened its first subsidiary in North America. Lehvoss North America’s (Pawcatuck, Connecticut) sales and development team will distribute the group’s “Luvocom” high-performance compounds across the region, and offer additional support to users and customers. LuV said it has found a local partner to produce the compounds.

Lehvoss North America will be headed by Alfred Bartkiewicz, who will work closely together with “Luvocom” business director Kurt Napientek. “Luvocom” high-performance compounds fall into seven product families: high-temperature resistant, carbon fibre-reinforced, electrically conductive, thermally conductive, tribologically modified, detectable and functional. The compounds are based on a wide range of thermoplastics, including PC, PBT, PET, PA 6.6, PA 4.6, PPA, PPS, PES, PEI, PEEK and PEEK-HT, LuV said.
