The dimensions of the new factory are gigantic – five buildings with a total area of 150,000 m² are located on an area of 44 hectares (around 62 football pitches). They house injection moulding production, packaging stations, warehouses, offices, and an energy centre that will supply the site entirely with renewable energy from next year onwards. Lego estimates the investment cost at USD 1 bn (EUR 913 mn).
