Lati Industria Thermoplastici (Vedano Olona / Italy; www.lati.com) has introduced a series of halogen-free flame retardant compounds. It says that all grades in the HF-1 product range meet the more stringent regulations on glow wire flammability and ignition stability set out in the new European standard for household appliances (IEC/EN 60335-1). They are also rated as meeting the UL74 Class V-O flammability specifications. The product range includes glass fibre reinforced PA 6, PA 6.6 and PPA compounds and non-reinforced and glass fibre reinforced PBT compounds.
