Plastics distributor K.D. Feddersen (Hamburg, Germany; www.kdfeddersen.com) has announced plans to reorganise its business activities in the Nordic and Baltic countries in moves set to take effect on 1 May 2023.
The business previously bundled in K.D. Feddersen Norden will be transferred to legally independent structures aligned with the group’s business areas, the company said.
The former Forvema is to become K.D. Feddersen Distribution. This business unit is to combine distribution with engineering plastics for third-party brands. The new company’s managing director is to be Dan Hagström, previously marketing and sales manager of K.D. Feddersen Norden.

The machinery trade and services division and the compounds business of German unit Akro-Plastic (Niederzissen; www.akro-plastic.com) is to be covered by K.D. Feddersen Plastics Machinery. Torbjörn Egerhag, previously managing director of K.D. Feddersen Norden, has been tapped as managing director.
Norwegian sister company Protec Scandinavia, headed by Per Skjevik, is to be renamed K.D. Feddersen Plastics Machinery. At the same time, plans foresee the integration of the business of Swedish sister company Protec Scandinavia Sweden into the Swedish subsidiary of K.D. Feddersen Plastics Machinery. An additional machine trading company for Finland is to be established.
Volker Scheel, managing director of parent K.D. Feddersen Holding, said: “The aim of this restructuring is to maintain a uniform appearance of the Feddersen group under the K.D. Feddersen Distribution logo throughout Europe and thereby increasing synergies between the sister companies.”
