Distributing Teijin PC and PC/ABS blends in Europe
In a press release dated December 2012, K.D. Feddersen (Hamburg / Germany; www.kdfeddersen.com) announced that during the recent Fakuma trade fair (www.fakuma-messe.de), held in Friedrichshafen / Germany from 16-20 October 2012, it confirmed an agreement with Japan’s Teijin (Tokyo; www.teijin.co.jp/english) to distribute the latter’s “Panlite” PC and “Multilon” PC/ABS grades in Europe.
The agreement, which takes effect immediately and grants the German company the exclusive distribution rights to the relevant Teijin grades, applies to Germany, Austria, Switzerland. In addition, K.D. Feddersen will also market the grades in the Benelux countries, France, UK/Ireland, Scandinavia as well as “other selected countries”.
Welcoming the deal, Teijin Kasei Europe managing director Yasunori Suzuki said it would strengthen the Japanese company’s marketing and distribution activities for Panlite and Multilon, two grades predominantly used in applications such as home appliances, LDC/TV, industrial devices, switches, lighting and automotive parts.
