KRUSCHITZ
New PET recycling facility in Austria
As of July 1, the Austrian company Kruschitz GmbH (Werner-Heissenberg-Strasse, A-9100 Völkermarkt) has taken over the PET recycling facility belonging to Lobbe. Following rebuilding of the existing facilities, approx. 8,000 t/y post-consumer bottles of PET are to be processed as from August into flakes, which will then be used for the production of PET flat film. The bottles will come mainly from the Österreichischer Kunststoffkreislauf AG (ÖKK, A-1020 Vienna), with whom the company has concluded a recycling agreement. Kruschitz has so far been involved primarily in trading plastics, and has an interest in Sky Plastic Recycling and Commerce GmbH (A-9111 Haimburg), which processes PE, PP and PS waste.
