Blowmoulding: Takeover of Battenfeld Fischer Blasformtechnik / 250 employees
Pending approval by the German federal cartel office, Krupp Kunststofftechnik GmbH (Helenenstr. 149, D-45143 Essen) will be taking over the business activities of Battenfeld Fischer Blasformtechnik GmbH (PO Box 1163, D-53821 Troisdorf) on January 1, 1997. As part of the Battenfeld-Group (HQ: D-58540 Meinerzhagen) this company is currently achieving worldwide sales of around DM 90m with some 250 employees in the field of extrusion blowmoulding equipment. The business activities which are the subject of this takeover will continue to be pursued by Fischer-W. Müller GmbH (Troisdorf) as an independent enterprise.
Krupp Kunststofftechnik, part of the Krupp Hoesch Maschinenbau Group, has around 2.000 employees producing global sales of some DM 600m; a takeover is aimed at strengthening its competitive position on the relevant foreign markets.
In future, the Battenfeld Group will be expanding its activities in the fields of injection moulding technology and extrusion technology including pipe and profile as well as film and sheet extrusion, concentrating especially on the Asian growth markets.
