Manufacturing capacity to be doubled at plants in Slovakia and China
German plastics machinery manufacturer KraussMaffei (KM, Munich; www.kraussmaffei.com) is to double output and broaden the production range at its facilities in both Martin / Slovakia and Haiyan / China. Increased production is scheduled for the beginning of 2013.

In Haiyan, the production area of 12,000 m2 will be increased to around 22,000 m2. In addition to the expansion of existing production capacities for machines and plants for reaction and extrusion technology, Netstal and KraussMaffei injection moulding machines for PET applications and KraussMaffei MX series injection moulding machines will be produced.

In Slovakia, the Martin plant, which came into operation in autumn 2010 producing AX series injection moulding machines, switch cabinets and moulds, will begin manufacture of robots and EX series injection moulding machines and related equipment in a facility expanded to 13,000 m2 from 6,600 m2.
