Sale of 100th machine to Turkey / Sign that Turkish plastics processing machinery market is picking up
Solidifying its market position in Turkey, injection moulding machinery maker KraussMaffei (KM, Munich / Germany; www.kraussmaffei.com) has sold a RIM-Star polyurethane mixing and metering machine to automotive industry foam processor Elele Döseme Sanayi ve Ticaret (Bursa / Turkey; www.elelefoam.com). The machine is KM’s 100th to be delivered to Turkey, and the third RIM-Star device acquired by Elele.

The sale, which was handled by KM’s Turkish sales partner Alp Chemicals (Istanbul), “is a sign that the market for plastics processing machinery in Turkey is picking up again,” says Taner Erbil, who heads Alp Chemicals’ sales department. In August last year, KM sold 12 machines to IBG Pakplastik (Konya / Turkey) – see Plasteurope.com of 12.08.2009.
