KraussMaffei (KM, Munich / Germany; www.kraussmaffei.com) opened a new TechCenter for PUR technology in Shanghai / China in July 2009. The new centre is almost an entire factory, with facilities to design, assemble and test moulds, and also produces prototype moulded PUR components. It has been established primarily to serve the automotive industry and automotive suppliers with production facilities in the region.

“With our new TechCenter for reaction process machinery we are strengthening our development and engineering support in the challenging area of automotive interior products,” said Harald Schweitzer, head of KM’s activities in China. The investment constitutes another step towards positioning KM as a knowledge-driven engineering company in China.
