Over the years, India has become a major manufacturer of technical products for the automotive, electronics and medical technology markets. “A striking feature of the trend is the growing demand for complex, high-value components,” says KraussMaffei CEO Dietmar Straub, explaining that India’s growing plastics industry is the reason why KM is now introducing its multi-technology processes and services to the country.
KM has been active in a number of fields in India, most prominently in compounding systems, pipe, profile, film and sheet extrusion lines for the construction industry as well as injection moulding systems for packaging and medical technology products. The company intends to increase its activity in the subcontinent’s automotive industry as well.
