Thermoplastic elastomer producer Kraiburg TPE (Waldkraiburg / Germany; www.kraiburg-tpe.com) has introduced a range of compounds that are approved for use in direct contact with blood and medications. “Thermolast M” can be coloured in conformity with medical compliant requirements and opens potential fields of applications.
The TPE materials can be used for medical and pharmaceutical applications including for example primary medical packaging, hospital care applications and resealing membranes. They can be sterilised with gas, radiation, plasma and steam.
