Group to unveil TPE compounds at Fakuma / Materials target potable and hot water
German thermoplastic elastomer supplier Kraiburg TPE (Waldkraiburg; www.kraiburg-tpe.com) is to launch a range of compounds for drinking water and hot water applications at this year’s Fakuma trade fair in Friedrichshafen, Germany.

The firm said its Thermolast DW H2 is a series of new, plasticiser-free TPE compounds for sanitary and drinking water tubes and hoses that comply with the tightened DTW-BWGL standard, which is mandatory from March 2025, for organic materials in contact with drinking water.

The company also plans to introduce hot water TPEs that meet the KTW-BWGL standard and can be used for products which operate in environments with frequently changing water temperatures, such as seals and showerheads.

In addition to the new water-friendly compounds, Kraiburg said it will showcase a range of products that contain up to 80% bio-based and recycled raw materials.
