Expansion into South Korea
Thermoplastic elastomer producer Kraiburg TPE (Waldkraiburg / Germany; www.kraiburg-tpe.com) has opened a new sales office in Seoul / South Korea. Due to an increasing demand for TPE products in the Asia Pacific region, which is already one of the largest TPE markets, Kraiburg TPE Korea will focus on key industries including automotive, consumer and medical.
Kraiburg TPE has four other local representations in the Asia Pacific region: Kuala Lumpur / Malaysia, Bangalore / India, Hong Kong / China and Shanghai / China. TaeYun Kim has been appointed as the new country manager for this fifth location in Seoul.
In 2016, the TPE Group generated sales of EUR 167m. The company has over 550 worldwide employees with production sites in Germany, the US and Malaysia.
