Germany’s Krahn Chemie (Hamburg; www.krahn.eu) has been appointed by ExxonMobil Chemical (Baytown, Texas / USA; www.exxonmobilchemical.com) as its authorised distributor in Spain for “Jayflex” plasticisers diisononyl phthalate (DINP), diisodecyl phthalate (DIDP), diiso undecyl phthalate (DIUP), diisotridecyl phthalate (DTDP) and benzoate-based MB10. Krahn has set up a local sales team and is initially operating from the Spanish subsidiary of sister company Albis Plastic (Hamburg; www.albis.com) in Barcelona in order to support Spanish customers directly on site and in their national language.
The agreement expands an existing agreement between the two companies under which Krahn already distributes DINP and DIDP in Austria, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and in Eastern Europe. Krahn is also ExxonMobil’s authorised dealer throughout Europe for the specialities DIUP, DTDP and MB10. The products are used in various applications, particularly in PVC, rubber, adhesives, sealants, paints, coatings and printing inks.
