KRAHN CHEMIE
Distributing Lamberti's PVC thermo-stabilisers in eastern Europe
On 31 August 2012, Krahn Chemie – the chemicals arm of sales, distribution and marketing company Otto Krahn (Hamburg / Germany; www.krahn.de) – announced that it had taken over the distribution of Lamberti’s (Albizzate / Italy; www.lamberti.com) PVC thermo-stabilisers in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The agreement covers the Italian group’s entire “Lastab” and “Synpack” portfolio.
While Lastab comprises both solid and liquid stabilisers, Synpack includes one-packs suited for specific applications. Krahn said the entire range is non-toxic, devoid of odour, contains no or little phenol as well as no or little ethylene diamine. All grades meet the requirements of REACH and can be used in several applications, including automotive, tarpaulins, flooring, synthetic leather and seals. Krahn said the stabilisers are applicable in both emulsion and suspension PVC and can be extruded, calendered and roto-moulded.
