KOREA FUELTECH
Automotive supplier building plant in Slovakia / Orders from Skoda, Hyundai and Kia
It appears that a recent order awarded by Skoda has led Korea Fueltech Corporation (Ansung-City / South Korea; www.kftec.com) to start building a new plant in Rajec, in Slovakia’s Zilina region. The EUR 8m facility is due to be completed in October this year. It will initially employ some 120 workers – a figure that is expected to double over the course of the next two years.
Korea Fueltech has been operating two plants in Poland since 2007, where a total of 500 employees manufacture parts for Kia and Hyundai, among others. The company’s portfolio includes gas tanks and fuel lines, tank openings, centre consoles, cup holders, ashtrays and other applications. Its 2013 revenues came to about EUR 190m.
