KIEFEL EXTRUSION
Continued growth for manufacturer of blown film lines / Extensive expansion planned in Worms
Like many other companies in the German plastics industry, blown film line manufacturer Kiefel Extrusion (Worms / Germany; www.kiefel-extrusion.com) has reported healthy business in this "K 2007" year. Sales for 2007 have been conservatively estimated at EUR 56m, continuing the company’s double-digit growth of recent years, said managing director, Edgar Gandelheidt, at a recent press conference. The further outlook is positive and orders on hand already extend into 2008. This, said Gandelheidt, has led the company to consider the possibility of expansion. This autumn, he expects approval to be granted for a new production hall in Worms, and in 2008 a further 10 assembly units could be added to the 23 already in operation – lifting capacity by over 40%.
