New high-speed quality blow moulding machine to be showcased at K2010
German plastics machinery maker Kautex Maschinenbau (Bonn; www.kautex-group.com) says it will showcase its new model “KLS 8-100” high performance blow moulding machine at "K 2010" (www.k-online.de) in late October. The new machine, Kautex says, makes the manufacturing process reproducible and transparent for the end-user – a widespread need among producers of extrusion blow moulded packaging products.

A long-strike machine, “KLS 8-100” has a high production capacity and guarantees top-level assurance, Kautex says. Thanks to its integrated leak detection, automatic article weight checking and visual article inspection system, the machine is capable of identifying off-spec production materials, which are automatically placed in the reject bin. In addition, Kautex says, the KLS 8-100 continuously measures and displays energy usage and efficiency. Coupled with the company’s inbuilt preventive maintenance system, the new machine allows for complete monitoring of the manufacturing process. Kautex also touts the versatility of KLS 8-100 – the machine is capable of producing many different articles, while the integrated RFID technology stores all the relevant data.
