KAUTEX MASCHINENBAU
Saudi Arabian institute orders 15 blow moulders / Instructor training included
Kautex Maschinenbau (Bonn / Germany; www.kautex-group.com) is to deliver 15 KCC10 extrusion blow moulders to the new Higher Institute for Plastics Fabrication (HIPF) vocational training centre, a joint venture between Saudi Arabia and Japan based in Riyadh / Saudi Arabia. The company will also supply one blow mould for each machine for a round and an oval bottle as well as for a round bottle with handle – a total of 45 moulds to be delivered between February and April this year.
The HIPF will be officially opened in September 2007 and will offer training to around 600 Saudi students and trainees in all fields of plastics processing, as well as servicing and maintenance of plastics machinery, in a 65,000 m² facility. Kautex says that the good access to the mould area and advanced control engineering makes these machines particularly valuable for training purposes. The company will instruct the institute´s senior and junior trainers through a programme covering the entire field of extrusion blow moulding.
The institute will be equipped with a total of 70 plastics processing machines with one of the training workshops dedicated to blow moulding machinery. The KCC10 machines to be installed there will be equipped with a single parison head with a maximum die diameter of 50mm and with a 60mm extruder. While the HIPF will initially be supervised by the Japanese, it is intended to hand it over to Saudi Arabian operators within a few years.
