KARL SCHMIDT
MoU with Agility establishing long-term logistics partnership / 600,000 t/y polyolefin hub in China
Global logistics company Agility (Abu Dhabi / United Arab Emirates; www.agilitylogistics.com) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a long-term cooperation with Karl Schmidt (Heilbronn / Germany; www.schmidt-heilbronn.de), one of the market leaders for pourable bulk goods in Europe. The two companies first started cooperating since 2008.

The two groups have been cooperating closely on a 66,000 m2 hub project in Shanghai / China – one of the largest reloading bulk goods sites. According to Schmidt, up to 600,000 t/y of polyolefins can be reloaded at the site.

Schmidt operates numerous logistics facilities across Europe that store, handle and package polymer bulk goods. The group offers customised logistics solutions to its clients. Agility also deals in chemicals logistics and has offices all throughout the globe – especially in developing countries.
