Israeli firm takes over US masterbatch producer Polyfil

Israeli masterbatch producer and compounder Kafrit Industries (Negev / Israel; www.kafrit.com) is to acquire US competitor Polyfil (Rockaway, New Jersey; www.polyfilcorp.com) for USD 34.7m.
Polyfil claims to be the largest independent masterbatch producer in the US focused on additives for polyolefins. The company has a 5,500 m² facility in Rockaway, New Jersey, and is headed by co-founder Gerald Fabiano. Its portfolio comprises antistatics, antioxidants, flame retardants, UV stabilisers, cleaning compounds, release agents and other processing aids.
Kafrit's presence in Europe includes its subsidiary Constab (Rüthen / Germany; www.constab.com).
