New seat manufacturing plant and interior components joint venture in Serbia / Supplier for Fiat's 500L compact van
US automotive supplier Johnson Controls (JCI, Europe: Burscheid / Germany; www.johnsoncontrols.com) has started producing seat systems for Fiat’s 500L compact van at its new just-in-time (JIT) plant in Kragujevac / Serbia. Elsewhere in the country, Johnson Controls’ joint venture with PCMA, part of Magneti Marelli (Corbetta / Italy; www.magnetimarelli.com), has started manufacturing interior components, including door and side panels, instrument panels as well as central consoles. The new JCI plant is located in the Grosnica Supplier Park, while the joint venture is based directly on the premises of Fiat Automobiles Serbia (FAS).
