Iranian producer now manufacturing pipes with PE 100 / Inexpensive catalyst supplier from Asia
Petrochemical and plastics producer Jam Petrochemical (JPC, Assaluyeh / Iran; www.jpcomplex.ir) has reported the successful production start up of PE 100 pipe-grade material. This means that the company can significantly lower Iran's import requirements of the material, said JPC's director of operations, Hossein Mirafzali.

Until now, production of PE 100 in Iran has been prevented by the lack of suitable catalysts (see Plasteurope.com of 29.04.2016). An easily reachable Asian supplier has, Mirafzali said, now been found with much better purchasing conditions than the more expensive western producers. The country has a high demand for water supply installations (see Plasteurope.com of 29.04.2016), for which PE 100 is a preferred material.
