From 31 January 2022, Jackon Insulation (Steinhagen / Germany; www.jackon-insulation.de) plans to demand higher prices for XPS boards, special products and accessories of the “Jackodur” brand. According to the German subsidiary of the Jackon Group (Frederiksstad / Norway; www.jackon.no), the reason for this is the significant increase in purchasing costs for raw and additive materials due to energy cost surcharges, as well as the cost increases for energy, personnel and logistics. Additionally, limited quantities are expected to be available in January.
Jackodur products “KF 300”, “KF 500” and “KF 700” as well as wall-edge strips are to become 12% more expensive. For products of the “Jackodur Plus 300” series, surcharges of 5% have been planned; 8% are to be added for Jackodur insulating formwork. The prices for adhesives and roofing membranes are also to be increased to an undisclosed extent.
