Russian plastic packaging manufacturer starts bulk trash container production
Russian bulk plastic packaging manufacturer iPlast (Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan; http://iplast.com/en) has begun manufacturing 1,110 l polymeric trash containers for the collection of both household and industrial waste. The containers are manufactured in accordance with DIN EN 840, weigh almost 52 kg and have a load capacity of 510 kg. iPlast said this is the first trash container of this volume to be produced by a Russian company.

The company, which claims to be Russia’s leading large-size plastic packaging producer, operates 14 automatic moulding machines as well as 8 extrusion lines. Last year, the company – which employs about 480 workers – processed almost 45,000 t of raw material. Key customers include Nizhnekamskneftekhim (Nizhnekamsk / Tatarstan; www.nknh.ru) and Sibur (Moscow / Russia; www.sibur.com) as well as a range of Russian automotive companies, including Kamaz (Naberezhnye Chelny, Tatarstan; www.kamaz.ru).

When announcing the new container, iPlast said it plans to produce more than 160,000 units of this size per year. In addition, the company said it is in the midst of diversifying its trash container product range to include 120, 240 and 660 l bins by the end of 2012.
