INNOVIA
Mark Robertshaw to replace David Beeby as BOPP film producer's chief executive
After 10 years at the helm of BOPP film producer Innovia Films (Wigton / UK; www.innoviafilms.com), CEO David Beeby is set to retire in late January. He will be succeeded by Mark Robertshaw, who will join the group from Morgan Advanced Materials, where he last served as chief executive. Beeby will remain as an advisor to the group, which he helped create in 2004, following the buyout of the business from UCB.
The reason for his retirement, Beeby said, is that he cannot commit to the long period of employment that would be required to fulfil the investment plans envisioned by Innovia’s new owner, Arle Capital (London / UK; www.arle.com), which acquired the producer in May last year (see Plasteurope.com of 01.05.2014).
